Christians are different...

They live in the world but are distinguished from it.

      (2 Corinthians 6:14-18; 1 Corinthians 5:9-10; John 17:15-16)

They strive for heavenly treasure instead of earthly wealth.

      (Matthew 19:21; Luke 12:33-34; Colossians 3:1-2; 1 Timothy 6:17-18)

They love to study and meditate on God's Word.

      (Psalms 119:105; John 17:17; Acts 17:11; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Psalms 1:1-3)

They provide for their family.

      (1 Timothy 5:8; 2 Corinthians 12:14; Galatians 6:10)

They love their fellow believers.

      (John 13:34-35; Galatians 6:10; 1 John 3:16-18)

They allow themselves to be wronged.

      (Luke 6:27-31; 1 Peter 2:20-23; Matthew 5:44; 1 Corinthians 4:12-13; 1 Thessalonians 5:15)

They make melody in their heart to God.

      (Colossians 3:16-17; Ephesians 5:19-20)

They give generously to the poor and needy.

      (Psalms 37:1; Hebrews 13:6; Mark 14:7; Luke 12:32-33; Luke 14:13-14; Romans 15:26; Galatians 2:20; James 2:1-4)

They hold the things of the world loosely.

      (Luke 12:34; 1 Corinthians 7:29-31)

They love justice.

      (Psalms 33:5; Isaiah 61:8a; Amos 5:15; Luke 18:6-8; Revelation 6:10; 2 Corinthians 7:11)

They guard their eyes and their thoughts.

      (2 Corinthians 10:5; Matthew 6:22-23; Matthew 22:37; Hebrews 3:1; Psalms 119:37; Philippians 4:8; 1 John 2:16)

They exercise right judgment.

      (1 Corinthians 5:11-13; John 7:24; Matthew 7:1-6; 1 Corinthians 10:15; Acts 4:19; Matthew 7:15-20; Revelation 2:2; 2 Corinthians 11:4; Proverbs 31:8-9; Ephesians 5:11)

They speak the truth in love regardless of what the world thinks.

      (Ephesians 4:15; Romans 12:9; Acts 4:19-20)

They hold to the truth even when the world says it's wrong.

      (Matthew 5:10-12; Matthew 10:24-25; Galatians 5:11; Galatians 6:12; 2 Timothy 3:12-14; 1 Peter 3:13-17)

They practice mercy.

      (Luke 6:35-36; Mathew 5:7; Matthew 9:13; James 3:17; Jude 22-23)

They obey the commands of their Savior.

      (John 14:15; John 14:23-24; 1 John 2:3-5; 1 John 3:23)

They serve God out of love, not fear.

      (John 14:15; John 14:23-24; Romans 12:9-21; Matthew 22:37; Matthew 10:37; Galatians 5:6; Ephesians 6:24; 1 Peter 1:8; 1 John 5:-2-3)

They serve people out of love, not desire for earthly reward.

They imitate the life of Jesus.

      (1 John 2:5-6; John 13:15; 1 Peter 2:21; Ephesians 5:1-2)

... Most of the world is waiting to meet one.

Matthew 5:13-16 "You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. 14 "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.
